The new shiny

talitha78 posted a vid, thus possibly breaking some sort of land-speed record for vidding a new fandom. It's terrific; you should check it out.
...wait, Natalie Morales is going to be a regular on this show? And there's a new episode on tonight? \o/
-I so want a car just like that.
-I've been using Ubuntu more and more since I *cough* upgraded my iMac to Snow Leopard without adequately investigating whether it would wreak irrevocable havoc with Ruby, Rails and MySQL. Which it did. And I'll have to do something about that eventually, one way or another; if money falls from the sky, I'll go buy a new 27-inch iMac, but, well. Goals for this weekend: 1) replace the $5 keyboard I'm using with the cobbled-together Ubuntu machine, since I can't really go on much longer with the shift and | keys in the wrong places, and 2) spiff up the desktop a bit.
-Friday afternoon wisdom: clicking links faster doesn't actually make time move faster.
