Supernatural
I'm just mostly full of "huh" and "wow" and "huh".
-I totally thought Kripke was setting up the Impala to "die". But no, I'm pretty sure that as much as the fans love that car, he loves it even more.
-OTOH, I felt much better about Castiel and Bobby's ultimate chances of survival once Cas got unceremoniously exploded after calling Michael "assbutt". Oh man.
-Either Crowley was actually being honest, or Lucifer just didn't rat him out. They kind of left that one hanging, especially in regard to Bobby's soul, but I suppose I can hope that that means he'll be back.
-A+ use of Chuck. And: the writer is God is your father and everybody's got daddy issues... it all makes my brain hurt. I guess he really likes Cas, to have resurrected him twice. (God? Chuck? Kripke? see previous statement re: brain hurt). And him having too much respect for Becky, and having a virgin/whore complex - that was an interesting commentary. Uh, yeah. (BRAIN HURT)
-The episode felt very fanficcy, with all of the clips and the meta-narration and the ending. Which I think of as kind of a hallmark of Supernatural, so that's not a complaint. I liked the actual ending in general - Dean living for Sam is a braver and more unexpected choice than Dean dying for Sam at this point. And it's all open-ended and ready to be ficced and continued on with. What's up with Sam? Who knows! Dean is bound to reconnect with Bobby and hunting especially if Sam's about to knock on his door. Castiel is still kicking, which means he could come back in fic or on the show or neither, according to your preference. And the Impala is still the Impala.
-Okay, I did have a momentary fear that Castiel and Dean were about to get hit by a tractor-trailer at the end there, but, you know. Nostalgia.
-I guess Michael and Lucifer will have plenty of time to work out their issues now.

Bit of an understatement. :P
But that's pretty much what I thought too. Luci and Michael, sitting in a cage...
Other than that, WTF was my standard setting while watching. I don't know, it just sort of fell flat for me. I expected to react more, but there was something off about the pacing, or maybe the excess of "tell" versus "show" with the narration, or the excess of meta.
I'd like to watch the originally planned finale, when the show was supposed to end with this. I know it exists, in a parallel universe, and it frustrates me that I can't hop into the TARDIS and go see it. ;)
I just... eh, I don't know. I feel a bit like after the BSG series finale - it was so highly anticipated that it could never have pleased entirely, and I don't know how I'd have done it differently, but I'd still have wanted it differently.
