That's just so... "don't feel bad for these people, they brought it on themselves! Aren't you glad YOU don't live in a flimsy house and ignore earthquake warnings? Doesn't that make you feel nicely smug and self-righteous?" Which then gets echoed by the commenters on the site and encourages people to ignore the economic realities that people in Haiti live with every day and to suppress what I would charitably like to consider is the natural reaction of 95% of human beings, which is to feel sympathy and want to help somehow when you see that other people are suffering.

In short: feh.
