Maaaargiiins, om nom nom

So I made a bookmarklet for AO3 story pages, basically just for me to use when reading things for fun. (I love Readability, but when reading a whole bunch of things on a site, I get tired of switching back and forth sometimes.) We got some support requests about line length and spacing as accessibility issues, though, so I thought I'd put it up here in case it was helpful to anyone.

Warnings:

1. It's very basic and only for the actual chapter content.
2. I really like whitespace.
3. It will be obsolete once we introduce customizable styles. Which are currently under construction!

Link to draggable, bookmarkable code, since my journals weren't too keen on it!

And totally feel free to play around with the javascript, improve on it, etc.

These are great! Thanks so much for linking to them, I had no idea such a thing was possible. :D I usually download the page and strip bad html out with my own perl script. Using bookmarklets is a lot faster and the pages are so much more readable!

I'm using a combination of the two, because I much prefer to read with a serif font. Thanks again.

Ooh, did you see the new plain text skin preference? It doesn't display the little meta icons on blurbs, and/but it displays the whole site in your browser's default serif font.

(...which also led us to discover a bug in Firefox 3.6+, where your default serif font gets set to your default font and vice versa. But we're not responsible for fixing that one!)
